Port St. Lucie is moving forward with one of its most exciting public projects yet — Torino Regional Park, a massive 195-acre regional park now under construction on NW Torino Parkway. Expected to open in 2027, this will be the largest park in the city and a major addition for families, athletes, and nature-lovers across PSL.
Designed with extensive community input, the City of Port St. Lucie says the goal is to build a space where residents can “connect, be active, and enjoy nature.” Locals asked for more shaded areas, more sports options, and more natural spaces — and those requests directly shaped the park’s layout and amenities.
When complete, Torino Regional Park will feature a nature-themed playground, an interactive splash pad, pickleball courts, covered basketball courts, walking and biking trails, and wide green open spaces for events and relaxation. The unique Play Forest concept gives kids a more natural, adventurous style of playground that residents specifically requested.
Community reaction has been overwhelmingly positive. PSL families say the area desperately needs more recreational space as the population grows. Parents are excited for larger play areas, older adults are looking forward to shaded walking paths, and active residents appreciate seeing more pickleball and courts added. Many locals also support the decision to preserve nearly 200 acres for public use rather than more development.
As construction continues, Torino Regional Park is shaping up to become one of the most beloved community spaces in Port St. Lucie — a true regional destination built around what residents asked for and what the city needed most. 🌴✨
